Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. Deep and slow techniques are used to release tension in muscles. Deep tissue massage helps to release chronic tension and break down scar tissue. Some soreness can result during or immediately after the treatment, but should subside within a day or two.
Sports Massage
Sports massage can be performed before, during, or after and event. It focuses on preparing the muscle tissue, relieving fatigue, and flushing out toxins that build in the muscles after prolonged use.
Various techniques are used including fascial release (targets the connective tissue surrounding muscles), deep tissue massage, advanced stretches, and other Swedish techniques.
Sports massage can help to relieve muscle strain, decrease muscle fatigue, decrease muscle tension, maintain flexibility, increase circulation and lymphatic drainage, and prevent injury.
